The journey of Nuia PMT

1952

The Karksi-Nuia Machine and Tractor Station (MTS) was founded

Later known as Nuia EPT. Its activities included the overhaul of trucks, building diagnostic vans, land improvement, construction, and road transport.

1980

Manufacturing of hydraulic cylinders started

The company started manufacturing and repairing hydraulic cylinders.

1991

The joint-stock company Nuia PMT was founded

With the restoration of Estonia's independence, Nuia EPT was liquidated, and its assets were sold to newly formed companies. The joint-stock company Nuia PMT was founded, focusing on the manufacturing of metal structures and hydraulic cylinders. The company also owned a building materials store.

2001

Modernisation of the production process

The first modern CNC benches were purchased. Nuia PMT was the first company in Viljandi County to receive the ISO 9001 quality management certificate.

2006

Entry into foreign markets

An extension for hydraulic cylinder production was built. The first welding robot was put into operation. All this provided the impetus for the expansion of our customer base outside Estonia, primarily in the Nordic countries.

2019

Specialisation in hydraulic cylinders

The company stopped manufacturing metal structures and focused on manufacturing hydraulic cylinders. A new extension for a new painting line was built.

2021

Increase in production volumes

For the first time, 50,000 hydraulic cylinders were manufactured in one year.

Over 30 years of experience, expert product development, customer-centric solutions and modern manufacturing have made us the leading manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders in Estonia – more than 50% of all hydraulic cylinders produced in Estonia are made in our factory.

Our main customers are manufacturers of machinery and equipment for the forestry, agriculture, road maintenance and processing industries.

70% of our production goes to Estonian machinery manufacturers, most of whose production is exported.

30% of our production is exported directly to our customers in Finland, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands, and Austria.
